Southeast Preview 10/15
Welcome back to Southeast AFTER DARK, where we will go over the most notable shows in the Southeast this weekend!
The first competition we’ll discuss is the East Lake Classic in Tarpon Springs, FL. This will be the first show out for #9 Tarpon Springs (FL) as their first show out because the original first show scheduled for them was canceled due to the hurricane. Additionally, they were signed up for the Johnson City Regional this weekend; however, they opted to go to Grand Nationals instead. They’re not the only recognizable name there either, as Floridians will recognize J.W. Mitchell (FL), and national fans will recognize Warren Central (IN), making the trip down from Indiana.
Next up is the Western Carolina Tournament of Champions in Cullowhee, NC. James F. Byrnes (SC) will headline alongside Dorman (SC) and Marvin Ridge (NC). It is a slightly lighter lineup than usual due to the proximity of the BOA Johnson City and Winston-Salem Regionals; however, it is still one of the premier shows in the region.
Quite a few of the top Arkansas bands will be performing at BOA St. Louis this weekend, so check out our coverage on them, linked below!
One of the premier bands in Alabama is hosting its yearly show with the Hoover Invitational Marching Festival hosted by Hoover (AL). They will join Pearl (MS) and Sparkman (AL), among other strong programs in the area. Information is available at https://www.hooverband.com/events/hoover-invitational-marching-festival/
We will highlight the Sound of Silver Invitational, hosted by Pierce County (GA) for our Georgia show, featuring Coffee (GA), Berrien County (GA), Fernandina Beach (FL), and Appling County (GA). For more information, check out https://www.soundofsilver.net!
This is just a handful of the outstanding shows in the Southeast this week, so if you’re not streaming the BOA shows, go check one out live!
