Breaking News: Music For All Announces VOD Streaming
In a historic move, Music for All (MFA), in partnership with SBN and BOX5 Media, has launched on-demand streaming for Bands of America (BOA) performances.
Dr. Jeremy Earnhart, MFA's President and CEO, expressed excitement about making video-on-demand possible. "We're thrilled to share these outstanding performances with participants, families, fans, and music educators," he stated in the email announcing this new venture.
Subscribers can choose from annual or monthly passes to stream BOA performances at their convenience. The archive will continually grow, featuring past BOA performances and Music for All National Festival concerts. Annual passes are currently priced at $144, with monthly passes going for $30.
BOX5’s Tim Snyder said, “We are actively working with Music For All to digitize historical content for inclusion on the network in the future. While it is our hope to have everything available, sometimes, age of the material and copyright restrictions may prevent it. Currently, there are more than 500 performances available dating back to 1992 and it will grow daily.”
He additionally stated, “The activity needs this type of archive and we are happy we were able to work with such great partners to make it happen. Without SBN and MFA, this doesn't happen.”
BOX5 Media will continue to live stream BOA Championships at https://boalive.tv, offering the thrill of live performances. However, for the marching arts community, this marks the first time VOD of historical performances has been available since the Music For All FanNetwork went offline in 2014. Select performances are currently available at https://bandsofamerica.org/
