In a world where horn lines are making pants tighter around the legs and ankles - the Bluecoats are bucking that sentiment and going baggy. I'll be interested to see their individual vis scores / bc they're not shying away from doing the things at all (and a TON aid environmental demand) - but the lines and space are a bold choice - hoping they'll get the credit even if it's more challenging to see!
Bluecoats are taking the field now. Like always, we had no idea what they were up to until about 11AM this morning. And I am convinced the staff didn't know what to call the show until 10:59AM this morning. Nevertheless, the activity holds their breath before Canton steps on to the field for the first time this season.
I definitely enjoy how the horn line / percussion uniforms blend the traditional Cavalier design and the actual clock/time print - I appreciate the consideration to the decades involved.
The Cavaliers have a lot of progressive rock in their repertoire this season. If this can translate well on a football field, this show could be a total knockout.
Would die to see the storyboards for these shows. I wonder if any exist.
Great work, gang! Now to do some recap analysis! Thanks to all of y'all who followed along. See y'al next time!

Some clear neighborhoods tonight, but I feel like PR outperformed their time slot.
We have scores!
Just filled out my Week 1 Power Rankings!
What are those?!
Only disappointment was that more corps weren't there.
You're gonna play the whole Babylon build and not do the horn snap? 👎🏻
I can't wait to experience these shows live and in-person later this summer!
Wooooo what a night! Scores will be up shortly.
Here's me hot take:
I am GLAD I am not judging this show. WOW.
This show is super cool.
Narration fits perfectly with the musical cues.
Reminds me of Blue Knights 2016 with the coordination of narration to musical orchestration. I think there's room for them to dial it in even better.
Reappearance of the sickle rifles - it's been a minute since we have seen those!
Classic Bluecoats coordination!!!!!
Nothing says "cool" like a Keytar. Bluecoats are dripping with attitude.
They're not booing, or Blooing. They're COOLING!
Blootitude?
Bloodrips
Shut it down. I have my new favorite soloist in DCI.
KEYTAR!!! Every show needs a keytar.

Toonnnns of character going on here. Lots of fun!
COOOOOOL
The light giggles of "that was cool" echoed around my theater - the prop rolling over the horns! Clever!
OKAY FLAGS
What a striking set design for Bloo.
Always have loved these music books - just the sounds and tonalities they Bluecoats gravitate towards.. always grooving
How long has it been since their front ensemble was all in one contained space?
Giant arc in 2019 too
I am very excited to see and hear this show. Their show announcement trailer was extremely slick and well done.
Riffs and Revelations!

So awesome to hear Iowa again!
This ballad makes me afraid of clocks!!
Pls stop turning it down - I don't think you do this to Thor, movie theater.
All the technical stuff with rubato!! That is so difficult to pull off on the field!
This whole moment has been super cool - slow and speed and Doppler... love it
Conversation side to side with the Bach theme - nice!
Well... Bach-ish
TIMPANI!!!!!
Yeah Basque
I HEAR YOU MELLOS!!!
DMjr : I spy timpani
Almost like the gears around their necks are worked into the costume

I was typing not talking so I was late

Help me on "the floor is lava" - I know the game but not the music
Okay Boston - super impressive. Can't wait to see the development and growth of the story - but performers - DAMN! :)
That is a good drum corps right there!
I was right, percussion is wearing black because they're SICK NASTY!
