I have to agree. Hernando is an up-and-coming band breaking records and joining the national scene with everything they've got.

this year alone Hernando SWEPT at the Conquistador Classic in their class and overall. Best Colorguard in the Collierville Tournament of Champions. AT BOA in Memphis up against 24 schools across 8 states they swept their AA class awards and Medaled for the first time in a BOA regional coming in 2nd behind Bartlett, TN sending top bands like Arlington and Collierville down in rank. This past weekend they competed in their MHSAA State Marching Band Championship against 14 other Class 7A schools and brought home 1st Overall GE, Mus and 2nd Vis, CG & Perc and named Mississippi Class 7A Grand Champions. They have 4 state championships under their belt, 2 being back to back. but medaled in the last 10 years of State Comp. Rewind to our first showing where we took Grand Champions at the 2018 Bandmasters UNSEATING a 14 yr champion, AAAA Munford HS, TN. Rewind ALL THE WAY BACK to our 1st ever national competition, the 2016 Music City Invitational, where we took 1st in our class, went to Finals and received RESERVE GRAND CHAMPIONS. In the last few years, we have participated in more BOAs and WGIs with our Winterguard, Percussion, and most recently Winds. In fact, Hernando made FINALS at St.Louis Super Regionals for the first time just last year. There is so much more! There are a number of "The Little Band That Could"'s out there to really look at that aren't in huge marching bands supporting states or have the funds to do expensive productions but are showing their mettle with skill, talent, professionalism, and a staff that instills pure musical, visual and technique perfectionism with shows that challenge our students and they are up to it and enjoy it! Take a look and you might see that there is more than your favorite place holders coming up to challenge with everything they have!

They would get slaughtered at boa austin or San antonio thats why

Texas is known for having some of the best marching bands if they make finals at Austin they wouldn't at San Antonio for context Hernado scored an 82 at St. Luis super regional and made finals at boa austin the first competition 4 Texas bands beat that and at our super regional in San Antonio our lowest finalist band gapped that by 6 points

South Jones High School Band of Braves just took six categories at the Hurricane Classic, beating out 15 other bands. (BEST band, VE, ME, Perc....). THE previous weekend, they took Best Band at the Swamp Classic, sending bands including Tate High School (FL), packing. West Jones High School and West Harrison are after SJHS Crown, as South Jones has taken MHSAA 5A Championship three years in a row. HOW has Gem missed South Jones this season!? They've set the Bar so high, they're forcing other bands to improve!!! This deserves serious consideration. I watched West Harrison give South Jones fits last season. Each group I have mentioned has brought their A game. A Euph captain of SJHS got knocked on her butt, grabbed her horn, and kept playing after regaining her footing. She went beast mode. You guys are missing out!

There's no metric to compare they're results in those competitions to the bigger bands

From what I can find there's no point metric for the hurricane classic and state marching at least in texas is known to be wild with scores at best and often is just kinda wrong so what metric can they be compared too
