2022 Week 3 GEM Top 12 Regional Polls
New for week 3, National AND Regional rankings!
Starting in the first week of October, General Effect Media will rank the Top 12 marching bands in five separate regions throughout the competitive season. GEM writers, contributors, and Regional Experts vote individually. Bands are given points on a scale: No. 1 gets you 12, No. 2 gets you 11, etc. These ballots are then combined for their respective GEM Top 12 Regional Poll.
All marching bands can earn rankings in the poll.
Bands ranked in the GEM Top 25 Poll maintain their order in their respective Top 12 Regional Poll. For example, if Tarpon Springs is ranked 7th in the Top 25 Poll as the highest ranked southeast band, followed by Dobyns-Bennett at 15th and Wando at 20th, in the Southeast Poll Tarpon Springs would rank 1st, Dobyns-Bennett 2nd, and Wando 3rd.
The Top 12 Regional Polls will release each Wednesday at 8:00 pm ET.
